Natural Resources
The most recent development in the world has been driven by many Natural Resources, metals and minerals. However, the salient and most impactful resource has been crude oil with its dense energy content, mobility, reliability, cost and derivative products. Although the extraction and use does result in the release of green house gas emissions.
As the energy transition takes shape demand for the resources driving technological change and the energy transition will increase. Example resources include copper, lithium, nickel, rare earths and many other materials critical for the energy transition.
Investments in natural resources will bring opportunities in upstream exploration, extraction and distribution/refining. The entire value chain which uses these critical minerals to derive manufactured products.
Other transition fuels have also been identified to play a big role in the energy transition which includes natural gas, LNG and hydrogen.
